About Susan Feldman

Susan Feldman was a visionary in the world of music education. In 2018, she and Daisy created the Ovation Strings program, in collaboration with Wilfredo Morel and Arts 10566, because of her belief that high quality music instruction was a necessity for all children, not just the ones who can afford it. Today, we honor her legacy through the continuation of her program and a new scholarship to lift up the talent within it by providing one dedicated Ovation Strings student a year with $1,000 towards private violin lessons.

Why It’s Important

Ovation Strings is our way of bringing state-of-the-art music lessons to those who otherwise couldn’t afford them, not necessarily to train violinists, but to boost confidence, emotional understanding, and academic achievement. Students who fall in love with the violin deserve a chance at private lessons, but we can’t afford to provide them for free on our own. Your contribution to the Susan Feldman Music Scholarship will turn exposure to music into full proficiency for the children who are inspired to pursue careers in this field.
