Help Us Put a Violin in a Child’s Hands

Support Ovation Strings – Where Music Changes Lives
Right now, countless children in underserved
communities are growing up without access to music education.
We want to give them lessons, instruments, and the chance to discover their hidden gifts.

Ovation Strings, a major vital program of the Daisy Jopling Foundation, is changing that. But we need your support to do it. We partner with organizations like the YMCA, Boys & Girls Clubs, and other trusted after-school programs to bring free, high-quality string instruction directly to kids who need it most. Many of these children have never even held a violin. You can change that! We bring the instruments, the teachers, and this amazing opportunity.

We are infinitely grateful to expert violin teacher Susan Feldman for creating the Ovation Strings program with Daisy Jopling, and for directing and teaching the Peekskill program for eight years.

Why Your Donation Matters

Donating to Ovation Strings is much more than funding a music lesson You're:
●  Providing a child with a violin and professional instruction
●  Giving mentorship and personalized support
●  Creating performance opportunities that build confidence
●  Empowering youth with discipline, expression, and belonging

You are not just helping them play an instrument.  You are helping them discover who they are.

Led by the Best in the Field

We are proud to say that Ovation Strings is taught by some of the finest music educators and performers in the region. Our instructors are professional musicians, industry artists, and highly experienced educators who bring not only technical excellence but also mentorship, compassion, and a deep belief in the potential of each student.

These are not volunteers, they are working professionals, many of whom perform with major ensembles, lead orchestras, or teach in conservatories. Thanks to our invaluable donor support, we’re able to pay them fairly while delivering exceptional, individualized instruction to students who would otherwise be left behind.

Why Music? Why Now?

Music education improves academic achievement, emotional resilience, and mental health. But in many low-income neighborhoods, music has been cut from school budgets and exposure is simply not an option.

Be Their Patron. Be Their Champion.

Throughout history, artists like Mozart and Michelangelo were only able to thrive because someone believed in their potential. Today, you can be that person.

Act Now

The kids are already in the room, waiting in after-school programs with energy and promise. All they need is the music. All they need is you.

Thank you for believing in the power of music—and in the kids who are ready to rise with it.
