Pasquale Monaco was born in 1948 in Naples, Italy, where he began to specialize in oil painting as a child. Since 1983 Monaco lived in Rome, and his paintings have been exclusively collected by his international private and institutional clientele. These beautiful paintings on canvas encompass several periods of time where the space solutions are based not only on the geometric construction of the perspectives, but on a pure, empirical solution of space. Monaco’s freedom of strokes allows the colors to explode with an emphatic expressionist extraction. The remarkable thing about Monaco is the union between two contrasting elements, the exciting strokes of Dionysian sentiment, harmonized with the Olympic calm, that distinguishes all the faces of the feminine and masculine figures. His innate talent of rational intuition, and his extraordinary optimistic outlook transcends worldly limitations. He is endowed with the gift of seeing beyond the ego, the other, and into the spirit.

Monaco’s inborn love of art drove him on an audacious journey from Naples to Rome alone at the age of ten, which opened his heart to the greatest Maestros of Art, such as Raffaello, Michelangelo, Da Vinci, and so many more in Rome’s greatest museums. These Masters inspired Monaco’s studies from the beginning and brought his passion and imagination to a higher level of expression…the Spiritual “Transcendence” of human consciousness.
